October 2006	Visit our Caucus Forum section to read the interview with Tunde Csepelyi, our NNEST Caucus of the Month. The forum is a place where you can post any ideas or comments about teaching ESL/EFL, school or work, and meet other members of this caucus. If you have any recommendations for who could be the next interviewee, email Chia-ying Pan.
September 2006	TESOL Quarterly 2006 Special Topic Issue: Race and TESOL In September 2006, TESOL Quarterly published a special topic issue on Race and TESOL, edited by Ryuko Kubota and Angel Lin. The issue includes articles by Suhanthie Motha, Lisa Taylor, Kay Hammond, Ena Lee, and Andrea Simon-Maeda, with a Forum piece by Ruth Spack, a reply to Jennifer Jenkins's "Implementing an International Approach to English Pronunciation" from Mitsuo Kubota, and Brief Reports and Summaries from Khadar Bashir-Ali, and Sarah Rich and Salah Troudi. The issue has been mailed to subscribers and will be available soon on IngentaConnect.

July 2006	Call for Book Proposals on Nonnative English Speakers in TESOL The Publications Committee invites book proposals (single-authored or edited volumes) from classroom teachers, teacher educators, researchers, and other specialists on all topics related to nonnative English speakers in TESOL, e.g., training, classroom practices, professional development, sociopolitical and political issues. Letter of interest and short description due July 31, 2006, to cedwards@tesol.org.

January 2006	Happy New Year! There is still time to submit proposals for participation in one or more of the TESOL 2006 CALL Interest Section Special Events. The deadline was extended to January 31. A new open forum (blog) was created for everyone to post anything related to our caucus and to respond to other people's posts. Go visit it and don't hesitate to try posting something. An archival page was created to record ideas for proposals shared through the listserv. Continue to share ideas! Learn about decisions the TESOL Board has made and that will affect you on a page called Board Action, which contains news and discussions of recent decisions made by the TESOL board of directors. April 2005	TESOL 2005 was a success! Many exciting things have changed in our caucus! You'll hear from your chair soon about plans for next year, and changes to this website will also take place soon. Think about submitting papers for the TESOL 2006 conference (in Tampa, Florida). The deadline for sumbission is JUNE 1, 2005! There is a new format for conference presentations (papers, workshops, work in progress, etc.): it's a 20-minute time slot, with 10 minutes for questions, available to everyone. Take advantage of it!

May 2004	Take TESOL's "2004 Critical Issues Survey" used to identify "critical issues within the field that are important to the association's goals and mission, particularly with regard to positions and public policy." Look at some pictures from TESOL's convention in Long Beach. Read about and look at pictures of the NNEST Issues Award Recipients. CONGRATULATIONS to all of them!
