So, these are some friends:

1. Daniel, a great friend from Utah, whom I met in the train between Morges and Lausanne... remember? I had never given my phone number to a guy before... and that instant in the train changed my whole life forever! Dan and his wife Michelle have a cute little girl and a baby boy. I guess this picture was taken in 1996 by Dave or Cherie, in Park City, for some conference where Dan was translating...

Mon ami Daniel, que j'ai rencontre dans un train entre Morges et Lausanne... et qui a entierement transforme ma vie. Sans lui, je ne serais jamais allee vivre aux USA, je n'aurais jamais rencontre tous ces amis que j'ai depuis, je ne serais jamais devenue prof d'anglais, je n'aurais pas eu l'occasion de faire cette operation sur ma jambe, je ne serais pas en train de faire in PhD en Indiana... Tout ca a cause d'un T-shirt du Hard Rock Cafe d'Orlando!

 

2. Ex-roommates. We had some good fun together for a while... things didn't end as best as it should have, but oh well, they were still fun. Wonder where they are now.

 

3. Cherie, another great friend from Utah, probably the one who took the picture with Dan and me above. I met her while she was in Switzerland and she helped me a lot settle down in Utah, learn English, and make friends there. I helped her with her French and we had a lot of fun, especially when she decided to marry someone from Switzerland and live there for a while... she now lives in Utah again... I guess... wonder where she is. I miss you Cherie!

Une chere amie d'Utah: Cherie, que j'ai aussi rencontree en Suisse. Elle s'est marrie avec un suisse, m'a beaucoup aide a m'installer en Utah et a mieux parler anglais, et on a passe beaucoup de bons moments ensemble. Elle a maintenant une petite fille et un petit garcon et j'aimerais bien les revoir tous!
